Q: What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?
A: I knew I had to do something to feel better. My husband had been coming for a while and told me I would like it. I made an appointment to talk to Devan and went from there.
Q: What was your first impression? How has that changed?
A: I was terrified. Now I am excited to go to class, see myself improve and challenge myself.
Q: What was your first “bright spot”?
A: After the 100 burpees workout, remembering how much I struggled with them in my on-ramp and how much I improved.
Q: What’s your favorite CrossFit CTRL memory?”
A: The first month I was in the Committed Club. It made me like I accomplished something and was a part of the group.
Q: What do you love most about CrossFit CTRL? What keeps you coming back each month?
A: Definitely the people! I attend the 6 am class the most and the group in that class is super encouraging.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: The members for sure. It is awesome to see the different journeys that people have made. My girls inspire me too, I love being able to do things with them and not wear out so easily.
Q: What is your current occupation? What are some hobbies, clubs, groups or activities you participate in?
A: I’m an Optician and currently training in Vision Therapy. I enjoy family game night, shopping and traveling when I can.
Q: What would you say to someone you love to encourage them to try CrossFit CTRL?
A: Just give it a shot, it will be the best thing that you ever do for yourself and your family. Once you get started you won’t know how you survived without it!
