NUTRITION HAS BEEN ONE OF MY BIGGEST STRUGGLES FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS.

WHAT YOU DIDN’T READ WAS THE STRUGGLE I WENT THROUGH ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF NUTRITION.

WHEN I DECIDED TO MAKE MY CHANGE I FOUND A NUTRITION COACH. SHE PROVIDED ME WITH MY DAILY MACROS FOR WORKOUT AND REST DAYS. I HAD DAILY WEIGH-INS AND WEEKLY CHECK-INS.

I BECAME OBSESSED WITH MY DAILY MACROS AND LET IT TAKE OVER. I WOULD WEIGH EVERYTHING. IF I COULD ONLY HAVE 87 GRAMS OF A BANANA, I ONLY ATE 87 GRAMS OF THAT BANANA.

EVENTUALLY THIS NEED FOR PERFECTION CATCHES UP AND “CHEAT MEALS” TAKE OVER. THE OBSESSION IS JUST AS UNHEALTHY.

SO NOW I PLAN MY “CHEAT MEALS”, NOT CHEAT DAYS. USUALLY 2 A WEEK.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO EAT PERFECTLY TO SEE PROGRESS. YOU JUST HAVE TO EAT GOOD ENOUGH, REGULARLY.

THE ONES WHO WORK ON HABITS AND EAT WHOLESOME FOODS IN THE RIGHT AMOUNT 80% OF THE TIME, ARE THE ONES YOU SEE MULTI-YEAR SUCCESS STORIES ABOUT. THEY’RE OFTEN THE ONES WHO YOU SEE EATING PIZZA AND NOT SHAMING THEMSELVES ABOUT IT SINCE THEY KNOW ITS IMPERFECT ACTION THAT IS THE ROOT OF ALL PROGRESS.
