NOT EVERY WORKOUT IS A COMPETITION; EMBRACE TRAINING AND THE RESULTS WILL SHOW.
YOU SHOULD BE PUSHING THE LIMITS IN YOUR WORKOUTS. WHY ELSE WOULD YOU DO CROSSFIT?
HOWEVER, CHANGE DOESN’T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. WE OFTEN TIMES LET OUR EGO GET IN THE WAY AND SLOW DOWN OUR RESULTS.
IN ORDER TO IMPROVE AND DO WORKOUTS RX’D AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE, I DO THESE THINGS:
1) WORK ON STRENGTH, LOAD THE BAR WHEN APPROPRIATE.
2) SCALE AS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE MOVEMENTS WITH THE BEST POSSIBLE FORM AND RANGE OF MOTION.
3) SHOW UP! EVEN IF I DIDN’T LIKE THE WORKOUT OR WASN’T FEELING IT THAT DAY.
I IMPROVED, BUT LIKE MOST OF US, NEVER FELT SATISFIED WITH THE PROGRESS I WAS MAKING. THEY SEEME SLOW IN COMPARISON TO EVERYONE ELSE AROUND ME AND I HAD MY WEAKNESSES TO WORK ON. WAIT FOR PART 4 TO SEE HOW TO OVERCOME THIS MINDSET!
