4 WAYS TO ADD PHYSICAL ACTIVITY TO YOUR DAILY LIFE

4 ways to add physical activity to your daily life

Move often and well

We are designed to move. Move often and in as many ways as possible.

Physical activity offers many benefits. It changes the way our body processes nutrients, helps burn body fat, build muscle, and even helps of feel better emotionally. Here are 4 ways to add physical activity to your schedule

Add daily-life movement

Physical activity doesn’t have to be a CrossFit class (although we do wish you would join us!)

Cleaning the house, mowing the lawn, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking, or any movement you can add to your daily routine can help!

Schedule and prepare for exercise

If you attend an exercise class, it’s easier to be prepared rather than trying to pack the gym bag 5 minutes before you have to leave. Pack your gym bag the night before so you can grab it and get to class.

Another common thing I see that gets people off track is the idea of attending different class times throughout the week. It’s best to pick a time, wether its 6:00am or 4:30pm, just stick to it. Don’t change it up on your days off.

Get your friends involved

Accountability is a big motivator, especially when you’re trying to get started. Find a friend, or a group, to help keep you accountable. Join a CrossFit class and the accountability will be there.

If you’re not ready to join CrossFit, here are some other activities you can do with your friends: •walking •hiking •take a dance class •swimming •play an outside game •or get your friend to sign up for a fitness class with you!

Make it fun!

Anything is going to be easier when it’s fun. Play with the kids in the yard. Take a lesson in something active (Dance, martial arts, golf, CrossFit). Choose something you enjoy!
