DON’T BLAME OTHERS FOR YOUR LACK OF MOTIVATION.

If you had to keep the same car for the rest of your life, would you take better care of it?

It’s a hypothetical situation, you will have to keep your current vehicle for the rest of your life. Would you take better care of it? Keep it clean more? Rotate tires? Change the oil on time?

Because if it breaks down you will no longer have a vehicle to get you from A to B.

If your car breaks down you will either be stuck or required to rely on friends, family, or someone else to get you around town.

Well that vehicle is your body. You have ONE body to get you through life. If you don’t take care of it you will be forced to use others for help.

If you don’t eat a moderately healthy diet you will be forced to use medication to counterbalance the negative effects of poor eating habits

If you don’t exercise you will be forced to use walkers or special shoes or into a nursing home. (That’s why we do burpees. When you fall and can no longer get up for yourself you will be forced to live in assisted living.)

So would you rather devote 3-5 hours a week to exercise? Or risk falling in your home and waiting hours for someone to find you?

I know the candy and desserts are tempting, but I’ve talked to countless people that are on a dozen different medications and can’t walk from their car to the front door without getting winded.

Don’t blame others for your lack of motivation. You have the ability to change your situation. If you say you can’t you’re lying to yourself.

YOU have the choice to take care of yourself. No one can help you but you.
