EAT MINDFULLY AND SLOWLY

Often times we get so caught up in the day to day of life we forget to enjoy our meals. Or worse, we forget to eat.

A good habit when eating is to eat mindfully and slowly. This aids in digestion and allows us to not over eat.

Some possible actions to help when eating mindfully and slowly can include the following:

•Use a meal timer to see how long it takes to eat a meal. Record a baseline for a few meals and use the data to see potential improvements.

•Do something between bites. This could be sitting down the utensils, taking a few breaths, a sip of water, of focusing on a table conversation.

•Eat without distractions. Keep the phone in the other room. Leave the tv off. Enjoy your meal!

•Pace yourself to the slowest eater. If you have kids this should be easy.
